Emmeline Grant and the Monstrous Beesh

Emmeline Grant’s dream is to join her father (a naturalist and explorer) on an adventure. At last the chance arrives. Sailing to the Falkland Islands with her governess, Emmy, 13, finds herself in Pletonia: where enormous fish fly, bee-like creatures hunt and kill, and people insist they have lived as animals. Emmy can’t wait to reunite with her father, yet the Pletonians seem unable or unwilling to let her go. Isolated from the world and seemingly ignorant of it, they believe Emmy’s presence is no coincidence.
